Station 2 Apparatus

Engine 13
  • Engine 13 is a 2014 Pierce Saber, and is the frontline engine at Headquarters.
  • Engine 13 is equipped with a 1,250 gallon-per-minute pump, a 500-gallon water tank, and it carries 800 feet of four-inch diameter hose.
  • It can seat a crew of six firefighters in a spacious enclosed cab. The engine also features roll-up equipment doors and a remotely controlled deck gun, which can pump large quantities of water onto a fire without requiring a firefighter to constantly aim the nozzle.

Truck 14
  • Truck 14 is a 2006 Pierce Dash 105-foot aerial ladder truck.
  • Truck 14 carries 800 feet of 4-inch supply hose, and it can spray up to 1000 gallons per minute from the nozzle on the basket.
  • This unit is capable of carrying a crew of 6 firefighters, as well as all their gear and spare air tanks. The basket on the end of the ladder will support up to 1,000 pounds while reaching up to 10 stories.

Ambulance 3-Nora-68
  • Normal Fire Department staffs three paramedic ambulances, one at each of our fire stations. Each Normal Fire Department ambulance is staffed with a two-person paramedic crew.
  • Due to the amount of training and equipment required to operate as a paramedic level service, a Normal Fire Department ambulance is, in essence, a mobile emergency room equipped to handle virtually any medical event or trauma.
