G Block/College Ave. Parking Deck
The G block is located between College and Mulberry and the Bank of Illinois building and soon-to-be constructed Constitution Boulevard. In the future, a mixed use retail, office and residential building will be located here and will be connected with the new parking deck. The parking deck serves the Bank of Illinois, the Normal Library, and general Uptown uses.
Construction on the new parking deck, called the College Ave. Parking Deck, began in August 2007. The 685 space deck opened to the public on Saturday, July 12th, just in time for the annual Sugar Creek Arts Festival. The deck offers parking to patrons free of charge until approximately the end of July. After that, the deck will be free during the evenings (6p-6a), on Sundays, and the first hour will always be free no matter what time of day. Otherwise, parking will be just $1 an hour, and special all-day and overnight rates are also available. Monthly permits are available by calling 309-451-5380.
