This landmark is a variation of the Greek Revival style. The Greek Revival style conveys some sense of the classical Greek temple form of architecture. The style is characterized by two-story houses with pronounced front gables giving a classical pediment effect, stylized pilasters or columns in front, little ornamentation, and often but not always with upright and wing configurations.
