July 11, 2006 @ 7:00 p.m.

Bruce Warloe, Anne Matter, Kathy Burgess, Bob Ward

Associate Planner, Lauren Kerestes, Debbi Feid, Office Associate, John Shea, of Custom Renovations

Call to Order

Ms. Matter called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and noted a quorum was present.

Minutes:

Mr. Warloe moved, Mr. Ward seconded to approve the minutes of the special meeting May 10, 2006.

CA-06-06-24, 306 W Virginia, New kitchen window

Mr. Shea was present to answer any questions regarding the new window at 306 W. Virginia. The applicant would like to replace the existing kitchen window with a slightly larger double hung window. There would be a transom window over the new kitchen window to allow more light into the kitchen.

Ms. Matter spoke saying the new window should be all wood, to be historically correct. Mr. Shea said he could do that.

Mr. Ward motion to approve the new all wood window, Ms. Burgess seconded.

Ayes: Mr. Ward, Ms. Burgess, Mr. Warloe, Ms. Matter

Nays: None
Motion declared carried

Cedar Crest Historic District National Register Nomination

Ms. Kerestes said the next commission meeting would be held at 6:00 p.m., August 15, 2006 in the council chambers in City Hall.

Ms. Kerestes talked about the two signs in the Old North Normal Historic District that have been stolen/taken and what the commission would like to see them replaced with There was much discussion about this and what might be done to prevent it from happing again.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:00 p.m.
