REGULAR MEETING

Call to Order:
Ms. Landau called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m. and noted a quorum was present.
Minutes:
The commission approved the minutes of the regular meeting on December 11, 2006 with the addition of the italicized word as follows, “Mr. Kentzler asked if it was necessary to internally light the price signs”. The motion carried 5-0.
CC-07-01-01, 107-111 E. Beaufort, Canopy/Awning on east facade
The Commission discussed the proposed awning along the east façade of 107-111 E. Beaufort. The Commission determined that according to the existing design code, the proposed awning would not need to be segmented or require a waiver from the code. The Commission determined that the existing code language applies more specifically to street-facing storefront facades with display windows and not the alley side. Concerns raised at the preliminary review of the awning in December were satisfied after commissioners visited the site. Each of the commissioners agreed that the east façade and thus the awning would not be as long in length as it appeared in the illustration supplied by the applicant.
Mr. Kentzler motioned to approve the proposed awning for 107-111 E. Beaufort. Ms. Locsin seconded. The motion carried 5-0.
Other Business:
The Commission asked staff about ongoing projects in the uptown.

There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned at approximately 5:00 p.m.
