Community Development / Purchasing Department
The
Community Development Department administers the annual Community
Development Block Grant to benefit low/moderate income persons.
The Department also works to address conditions of slum/blight in
the community, to develop a viable community by providing decent
housing in a suitable living environment by expanding economic opportunities,
and assess the urgency of needs.

To maintain a fiscally responsible municipality by following the Town of Normal Purchasing Manual and utilizing State joint purchasing opportunities when appropriate.
Purchasing Services
Oversee the purchase of office supplies and the lease and maintenance of office equipment, review Bids for publication to determine if in compliance with the Town of Normal Purchasing Manual, review and authorize payment for all invoices and purchase orders.
