Engine 11 is a 1999 Pierce Saber Pumper that can carry a crew of
up to 6 firefighters. It is equipped with a 1250 gallon-per-minute
pump and a 500-gallon water tank. Engine 11 is also contains emergency
medical supplies in the event it arrives to a scene before an ambulance.

Engine 13

Engine 13 is a 1985 Pierce Arrow Pumper with a 1500 gallon-per-minute
pump. It carries 800 feet of 4-inch diameter hose, and is capable
of carrying a crew of 6 firefighters. Engine 13 is scheduled to
be replaced in 2010. After many years as a frontline
firefighting vehicle, Engine 13 is now in reserve status and
housed at Station 3.

Engine 15
Engine 15 is a 2004 Pierce Saber stationed at Headquarters, and
is the department’s newest frontline engine. Engine 15 is
equipped with a 1,250 gallon-per-minute pump, a 500-gallon water
tank, and it carries 800 feet of 4-inch diameter hose. It can
seat a crew of six firefighters in a spacious enclosed cab. The
engine also features roll-up equipment doors and a remotely
controlled deck gun, which can pump large quantities of water
onto a fire without requiring a firefighter to constantly aim
the nozzle. Engine 15 will serve the Town of Normal for many
years, and is not expected to be replaced until 2025.

Tower 10

Tower 10 is a 1989 Kovatch/LTI Tower/Pumper with a 1250 gallon-per-minute
pump. This truck features a 55-foot ladder with an elevated master
stream. It can carry a crew of up to 8 firefighters. It's scheduled
to be replaced in the year 2009.

Heavy Rescue 12

Squad Company 12 is a 1991 International truck which carries the
equipment used to handle small hazardous materials emergencies.
This unit also carries spare air tanks for firefighters' breathing
apparatus, as well as larger tanks of compressed air to refill the
smaller tanks. Squad 12 also carries a large amount of foam to use
to control flammable liquids fires.
Squad Company 12 can also pull Heavy Rescue Trailer 12, which carries
equipment used in trench rescue situations.
3N23

2000 Ford Marque Type III Ambulance. 3N23 responds to calls
from Headquarters Fire Station at 1300 E. College Ave It carries
basic life support (BLS) equipment for patient care. This unit also
carries hydraulic extrication equipment for use on auto accidents.
3N23 also carries firefighting clothing, equipment
and air tanks.

3N13

3N13 is a 1996 International/Marque Ambulance that is licensed
to provide basic life support. This truck carries hydraulic extrication
equipment for use on auto accidents. It also carries a defibrillator
and heart monitor for use on patients with heart conditions, chest
pain, or heart attacks. 3N13 is scheduled to be replaced in
2006. 3N13 has been moved to reserve status and is housed at
Station #2.

3N21 and 3N68:
Both units are 2006 Ford-Wheeled Coach Type III Ambulances.
Currently, they are Basic Life Support (BLS) transports, but
they will be upgraded to Advanced Life Support (ALS) units when
the Normal Fire Department begins providing paramedic service in
2008. 3N21 is housed at Station #2 and carries hydraulic
extrication equipment for use on auto accidents. It also carries
a defibrillator and heart monitor for use on patients with heart
conditions, chest pain, or heart attacks. 3N68 runs out of
Station #3.
Truck 12

2000 Pierce Dash pumper. Truck Company 12 is a 1250-gallon-per-minute
pumper based at Fire Station #2 on North Adelaide St. T-12 carries
800 feet of 4-inch hose, and it can spray up to 1000 gallons per
minute from the nozzle on the ladder. This unit is capable of carrying
a crew of 6 firefighters, as well as all their gear and spare air
tanks. 75-foot light duty ladder.
Cost: $450,000
Truck 14
Truck 14 is a 2006 Pierce Dash with a 105-foot ladder tower. The
1,250 gallon-per-minute pump feeds the 4-inch diameter supply
hose. The basket on the end of the ladder will support up to
1,000 pounds while reaching up to 10 stories. Truck 14 weighs
about 74,000 pounds. It will also serve the Town for many years,
as it’s not due to be replaced until 2026.
