Building Inspection Division
The Building Inspection Division is staffed by 6 full-time inspectors
that provide plan review, permit issuance and field inspection services
for all new construction and remodeling in the community. Staffing
includes three Building Inspectors, an Electrical and Sign Inspector,
a Plumbing and Cross Connection Inspector, and a HVAC Inspector.
Building Inspection staff enforce the following model codes to regulate
construction: Town’s Zoning Code, International Building Codes,
Illinois Accessibility Code, National Electric Code, Illinois State
Plumbing Code and International Mechanical Code. All Building Inspection
staff are either licensed or code certified inspectors. This division’s
