Fransen Park is 4.5 acres of recently naturalized prairie enclosed by evergreen trees. Recent improvements include the addition of a ¼ mile gravel trail and an observation deck overlooking a small pond. Plans for 2008 include construction of a parking lot, installation of a drinking fountain, and a small shelter.
