The Garlic Press has been a staple in Uptown Normal for many years. In 2005, the Garlic Press completed an expansion into a vacant building that was located just east of their health, beauty and home store. The expansion includes a new deli with both indoor and outdoor seating. The Garlic Press also undertook a major storefront redevelopment effort, which resulted in a more attractive and visually appealing street façade.
