Public Education
The Public Education Department is in charge of scheduling and delivering fire safety talks to schools, senior citizens, church organizations and other civic groups. The Public Education Department also handles the Fire Department's video library, which contains several hundred tapes for firefighters and the public to borrow free of charge.
The Public Education Department also schedules programs for National Fire Prevention Month as well as other events in which fire safety should be discussed.
In addition, the Public Education Department can help develop
home escape plans or answer any fire
safety questions people might have. Smoke detector testing is
also available through the Public Education Department.
