Pitch, Hit & Run Competition
Major League Baseball and the Normal and Bloomington Parks
and Recreation Departments will offer a local youth skills
competition for boys and girls ages 7-14 the first Saturday in
May at Champion Fields in Maxwell Park. Participants may come
anytime between 10 a.m. and noon to compete.
Competitors will have the opportunity to demonstrate their
batting, fielding, throwing and base-running abilities in four
age divisions: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14 years old.
Winners at the local event will compete at the sectional
competition. Winners from the sectional event receive a chance
to compete at a Major League Baseball game. This is a FREE
event. However, pre-registration is required.
