Park Maintenance

The Parks and Recreation maintenance staff is responsible for the care of over 400 acres of parkland, 3.5 miles of linear green space along the Constitution Trail, two pools, numerous softball fields, tennis courts and several playground sites in addition to providing support to a wide range of recreation programs provided by our department.

The goal of the staff is to develop and maintain the best equipment and facilities to residents and visitors. This goal is accomplished by a full-time staff of 16 and 30 seasonal employees. This philosophy is best summarized by one of our employees, Tom Cherry, who states, "This staff takes great pride in our grounds and facilities, and we believe this is evident in the appearance of our parks." The parks in this community are a significant indication of the high quality of life we enjoy in this thriving community.
