Haunted Trail

The constitution trail provides the perfect setting to get “spooked”! This event takes place two Friday and Saturday nights in October. Check the Parks and Recreation Program Guide, website calendar and the latest news for exact dates. Participants line up behind Normal City Hall. The haunting begins after crossing Vernon Avenue and continues to the Parks and Recreation Office (approximately ¼ mile). Be prepared to be spooked by sound and lighting effects, spooky creatures, and displays. Special effects do include strobe lighting. Persons with conditions that can be aggravated by strobe lighting should not attend this activity. Glo-Ropes and concessions will be sold. Free face painting at the end of the trail! A hayride will take you back to City Hall.

Please be aware that the Haunted Trail can frighten young children. The first weekend is less scary and more child friendly. However, children may still get frightened. There is no place to turn around once starting down the Haunted Trail.

This event begins at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There is a $1.00 per person charge. The first weekend only canned food donations will count towards a free admission. Canned food donations will also be accepted the second weekend but WILL NOT count toward free admission.
