Sweetcorn Blues Festival

Ears of corn being dumped from a truckOver 50,000 ears of fresh sweet corn, sidewalk sales, arts, crafts, flea market, and the best blues bands in central Illinois await you at the 20th annual Sweet Corn Blues Festival in Uptown Normal August 23 and 24, 2008. Previously called Cornfest, the festival kicks off at 10:30 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday and ends at 6 p.m. on Saturday and whenever we run out of corn (usually about 4 p.m.) on Sunday.

The sweet corn is harvested fresh each day from the field and is available fresh-cooked and buttered or un-husked by the dozen. Uptown Normal restaurants as well as specialty food vendors provide all kinds of goodies to compliment your fresh cooked sweet corn. There is no charge to attend the festival.

$3/dozen for unhusked ears or .$50/ear, fresh cooked and buttered.
