Curbside Recycling

The Town of Normal offers single stream curbside recycling to residents in single family and duplex homes. Curbside recycling is collected weekly on your regular trash collection day. Learn more about the program.

Recycling Centers - Drop Off Boxes

The Midwest Fiber operates drop-off boxes for recycling at various convenient locations. Each drop box is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All eligible materials should be rinsed and boxes flattened. Please separate your recyclable material into three categories:
  1. Containers (glass and plastic)
  2. Corrugated cardboard
  3. Paper products

Electronics Recycling

The Town of Normal offers an electronics recycling drop-off location for McLean County residents during the week and on the first Saturday of each month at the Public Works Facility (1301 Warriner Street). Please look for the bright yellow 'electronics recycling' signs, which will direct you to the building. The electronics recycling building is located on Warriner St just beyond the main Public Works building.

Educational programs and additional information about recycling, including residential battery recycling and light bulb programs, can be found on the Ecology Action Center website.
